With this adapter you can use three fans that have a 3 pin molex connector, directly to a 4 pin Molex connector on your power supply plug and simultaneously curb the connected fans in his performance. The tacho signal of the fan can NOT be read out with this adapter. The 4-pin power supply connector is NOT looped through this adapter and is lost therefore - it can NOT connect other devices (drives, fans, etc.). PLEASE NOTE: This adapter, the output voltage of 12 volts at 4 pin Molex connector of the power supply is reduced to 5 volts. Thus, the following changes when you connect the fan arise through this adapter to the power supply compared to the terminal directly to the motherboard: reducing the flow rate of the fan - to reduce the speed of the fan - lower volume of the fan. Thus there is a clear advantage of this adapter - the connected fan is quieter. The negative effect associated must not be disregarded, however: the funded by the fan air flow is reduced and thus also the cooling capacity. Some fans e.g. Pope only start at 8 volts, so you unfortunately can not use this adapter with these fans. Please check it before buying.
